FLORA, Miss. — The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation arrested a Flora Police Officer on child molestation charges.

According to reports, Officer James Alderman was arrested on Wednesday and charged with two counts of gratification of lust.

“We have developed information that indicates there may be other incidents that could lead to additional charges being filed against his suspect,” MBI Director Lt. Col. Larry Waggoner said. “Anyone with information that may be helpful, in this case, should contact MBI at 601-987-1530.”

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office and the Madison County District Attorney are helping in this investigation.

Alderman was scheduled to go before a judge on Thursday.
