GIBSON COUNTY, Tenn. — The Gibson County Sheriff’s Office said they have been searching for the woman involved in a a crash on the Highway 187 and Highway 79 intersection over the weekend.

According to a post of the department’s Facebook page, the wreck happened just outside of Humboldt.

The female driver of a maroon or purple colored Dodge Dakota or a Chevy S10 hit a motorcycle at that intersection.

After the accident, the woman got out of her car, looked at the pair, and then sped off.

The motorcycle was being driven by a man.

The passenger was a 9-year-old girl.

Both victims were airlifted to Memphis.
