CORINTH, Miss. — Officials with the Mississippi Department of Transportation, or MDOT, are set to be in Corinth on Friday. According to reports from WTVA, a ceremony will be held to rename U.S. Highway 72 as Veterans Memorial Highway. The Highway stretches all the way from the Mississippi/Tennessee state line to the state of Alabama. WREG was told new signs would be put up along the road but wasn’t told when. The name change was approved by Mississippi legislators earlier in the year.
