MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Motorists should avoid sections of both Cleveland Street and New Allen Road starting at about 9 a.m. Monday.
Crews will begin resurfacing work on Cleveland Street between Lamar Avenue and Overton Park Avenue. The project is expected to last about three weeks.
Motorists should expect delays, and the city advises taking an alternate route during this period.
For a separate three-week project, the two-block stretch of New Allen Road between Raleigh Millington Road and Bluff Wood Drive will be completely closed to through traffic to allow for emergency drainage repairs.
There will be detour signs directing traffic through Ridgemont Avenue and Raleigh Millington Road.
