MEMPHIS, Tenn. –More information has been released about the building that collapsed at Lamar Avenue and McLemore in South Memphis.
According to Memphis Police, just before 5 p.m. they received word the building had collapsed in the 1800 block of Lamar.
The building was reportedly vacant at the time and therefore no one was injured.
The Memphis Fire Department was called to the scene to check the structure and to check for any possible victims.
Neighbors told WREG when the building collapsed it sounded like an earthquake.
