DUBLIN – Minions live to serve the world’s greatest evil-doers. They are the popular characters in the “Despicable Me” and, newly released, “Minions” movies.
One Minion, in particular, is living up to its purpose.
An inflatable, 40-foot-tall Minion caused a car accident yesterday in Dublin. Drivers said the big balloon blew onto the road during rush hour. One car ran into another car while trying to avoid the yellow and blue roadblock.
No one was hurt in the accident, but a car mirror was damaged.
Some drivers got out of their cars to look at the supersized character.
Police said the balloon drifted over from a nearby fair. Another official called the risk to safety “despicable.”
The Minion was ultimately deflated and removed from the busy street.
