MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Fire crews responded to a house fire in the 800 block of East Dempster Avenue.
A resident of the home, who was not home when the fire started, said the fire was caused by lightning, however Memphis Fire Services has not yet confirmed the cause.
A neighbor told WREG it sounded like an explosion.
Four people currently live in the home, and the resident said about two or three were home at the time of the strike. Luckily she said they were able to evacuate safely, and no one was hurt.
Crews are on the scene working to get the fire under control.
