MEMPHIS, Tenn. — It’s finally Friday, which means it’s time to look at several events happening across the greater Memphis area this weekend. There is something for everyone.
The Beale Street Bears have a big game tonight as they take on the Dallas Mavericks, and they need your help celebrating! Grab some Grizz Gear this morning from 7 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the following locations:
- Southeast corner of Union and McLean: 7 a.m. – 9 a.m.
- Kroger 3685 S. Houston Levee Road, Collierville: 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
- Memphis Zoo: 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Tonight at 6 p.m., there will be a plaza party at the Big River Steel Plaza inside the FedExForum. The game kicks off at 8:30 p.m.
Tonight is also a Minecraft movie night with the Redbirds! The movie begins at 3:00 p.m. Tickets start at $20. The first 1,000 fans will receive a Minecraft hat.
On Saturday, you and the kids can celebrate Earth Week by making sustainable art! Super Saturdays are held at the Brooks Museum from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. It’s all free.
After that, take the kids to an egg hunt at Martyrs Park. The Riverfront Easter Festival is a free event for all ages. There will be more than 20,000 eggs, food trucks, bounce houses, and live entertainment. It ends at 3 p.m.
Belgian beer fans, you wouldn’t want to miss this celebration! From 1 to 8 p.m., Souls and Spirits along Main Street invites you to indulge in Belgian beer, delicious Belgian waffles, and crawfish! The event is free, but food is for purchase.
On Sunday Funday, enjoy a two-hour cruise on the Mississippi River featuring live entertainment and a meal. This is the perfect event for couples. The cruise sails at 7 p.m. Tickets are $50.
