MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police and U.S. Homeland Security teamed up to stop a man believed to be distributing several pounds of cocaine.

Sergio Santos was charged with one count of possession of cocaine with the intent to manufacture, sell or distribute.

Police said he tried to traffic cocaine from Dallas through Memphis, but authorities stopped him at the Greyhound Bus station on Airways.

Thursday, investigators ordered bus riders off a bus and told them to take their bags with them.

Police said a K-9 alerted investigators to an abandoned duffel bag containing four pounds of cocaine.

It didn’t take long for Homeland Security to connect the unclaimed bag to Santos, who police said, nervously watched as officers went through his bag.

According to an affidavit, Santos told officers he found the bag with cocaine in Dallas.
