BUFFALO, New York — A former Memphian could soon be leading a school district in Buffalo.

According to The Buffalo News, the Board of Education announced it would be meeting Tuesday to vote on whether Kriner Cash should be named the district’s new superintendent.

Cash was the former superintendent of Memphis City Schools.

The Buffalo News reported his appointment would be contingent upon the New York State Education Department, which would review his credentials and issue his certification.

If appointed, Cash would be reportedly making more than $275,000.
