NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Authorities in West Nashville are searching for the vandals who spray painted the side of a trailer with graffiti encouraging the killing of cops.
According to WTVF, officers began receiving calls early Wednesday morning from local business owners and residents complaining about the sign that read, “Save A Life, Kill A Cop.”
Officers said they believe the message was painted sometime overnight.
The Nashville Police Department released the following statement:
“We are shocked and saddened that someone would create such a sign. We are gratified to know that the, what we think is the, overwhelming majority of Nashvillans, who are also shocked and saddened.”
Investigators found the spray cans believed to have been used not far from the scene.
A local pressure washer company sent workers out to the trailer and offered to remove the graffiti for free.
