MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Youth Villages in Memphis is desperately searching for families or individuals to foster kids in Shelby, Tipton and Fayette counties.

The organization is offering free foster training starting Tuesday, September 1 at 6 p.m. at their office at 5515 Shelby Oaks Drive.

According to the news release, children enter the foster system when their homes are found to unsafe due to abuse, neglect, or other trauma.

These children receive therapy and other support but need a loving family to help them through it all.

Families can also adopt the children through Youth Villages are free.
