Mississippi has something to celebrate, and it’s a big one — education success.

The Magnolia State took the top spot in a WalletHub ranking of the nation’s best community college systems.

Arkansas also made the top 10; it was ranked sixth.

Tennessee, which is described as “trailblazing the college-for-all circuit” with its Tennessee Promise program, was also in the top half at number 24.

WalletHub based the rankings on data from the National Center for Education Statistics, the Center for Community College Student Engagement, and the Council for Community and Economic Research and American Institutes for Research and Optimity Advisors.
