MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Memphis man was booked into jail on Wednesday night after police say he attacked his girlfriend with a box cutter.

According to the affidavit, Memphis Police were called to an apartment in the 3400 block of Eastline on a domestic violence and aggravated assault case.

When they arrived, the victim told police she and 23-year-old Troitavius Ford had gotten into an argument.

At one point, he took a box cutter to her throat and demanded that she have sex with other men for money.

He then fled the scene.

The woman later told police she was scared for her life.

Less than two hours later, Ford was arrested and taken to 201 Poplar for booking.

His bond was set at $20,000, and he was scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
