MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A woman was arrested on Wednesday for attacking her own sister over a ringing phone.

According to the police report, officers were called to the 5200 block of Flowering Peach.

When they arrived, they found a woman with wounds to her neck and arm.

She told investigators she and her sister, Kimberly Claxton, got into an argument when her cell phone went off waking up Claxton’s baby.

At some point during the fight, Claxton grabbed a knife and cut her sister on the arm and neck.

She was taken by ambulance to Regional Medical Center in critical condition.

Claxton was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault.
