MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Sisters Network Memphis Chapter along with the Whitehaven community participated in the Gift for Life Block Walk on Saturday morning.
The walk is to inform the African-American community to watch for early signs of cancer. A health fair was also held at the Whitehaven High School gym after the parade. The Sisters Network Memphis Chapter is an affiliate chapter of Sisters Network Inc., a national African-American Breast Cancer Survivorship Organization. The organization is committed to increasing local and national attention to the impact breast cancer has in the African-American community.
