MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Pop Superstar Justin Timberlake choked up during his induction into the Memphis Music Hall of Fame Saturday night.

Timberlake was one of seven performers inducted.

“That I grew up admiring. And to say that I stand alongside them now. They got to fix that Beyonce wind thing. It’s getting in my eyes,” Timberlake said.

“Memphis, the city. The greatest city in the world,” he continued. “And the Memphis Music Hall of Fame, you have clearly given me and my family, who is half this section, one of the great — not one of, the greatest — honors this evening and made us all very proud.”

Other inductees included Alberta Hunter, Al Jackson Junior, Memphis Slim, Scotty Moore, Charlie Rich and Sam and Dave.
