JACKSON, Miss. — The burn ban that was recently put into place for the entire state of Mississippi has officially been lifted.
On Monday, Governor Phil Bryant signed a proclamation saying the extremely dry condition and fire dangers are no longer a threat to public safety.
The original burn ban was issued last Tuesday, October 20, after the state saw an increase in the number of wildfires.
