MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man wanted for a murder that happened Sept. 17 has been arrested.

Charles Jones, 27, is in jail on first-degree murder charges. He was also charged with possession of a controlled substance (marijuana) and violation of probation.

Jones is accused of fatally shooting Terrell Beecher, 37. Beecher also showed signs of having been beaten.

He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Jones is being held on a $5,000 bond.
