MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Jerry Lawler may have been able to hold his own in the ring, but this time it was his car that took a major hit.

The WWE star tweeted a picture of his banged-up car, writing that he and his girlfriend Lauryn Laine McBride “were lucky things weren’t worse than they were last night. My car not so lucky.”

WWE.com reported the accident happened when Lawler was driving home Saturday night.

“I got the green arrow to make a left turn,” he told the website. “I started making the turn and I saw the car coming, not slowing down at all. The driver ran a red light.”

Lawler told WWE.com he is alright, but McBride suffered injuries from the crash and had to go to the emergency room. She has a swollen face and needed a leg brace, and Lawler said she is showing symptoms of a concussion, but she is expected to recover.
