MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A bus driver turning onto Main Street saw the attack.

More than five teenage boys were pulling a man to the ground and kicking and stomping him in the head.

Not only do we have the word of those who saw it,  but also photos which were uploaded from the man’s phone.

They show young teens who fit the description of the attackers, proudly posing on the new smartphone stolen right in the heart of the Pinch District.

Cheryl Brown’s in town for business and walked from her hotel to the Bass Pro Shop, right past where the attack happened on Main Street by the bus station.

“In the daytime, I thought ‘I wouldn’t be walking this if it was dark.’ I made up my mind I’d be heading back by 4:30,” she said.

It’s not the impression people in the Pinch District want tourists to get and certainly not the reality anyone wants for the man who was attacked.

Those who walk through here are taking a good long look at the teens who snapped those selfies hoping to help identify them in hope it never happens again.
