MEMPHIS, Tenn. –Here are three things you should know for Friday November 6, 2015.

1- A Kentucky police officer has died after being shot by a robbery suspect.

Richmond Police Officer Daniel Ellis died early Friday at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.

Raleigh Sizemore Jr. is charged with shooting the officer Wednesday.

2- At least six people are dead after a charter bus crashed this morning north of Little Rock.

The 18-year-old bus was headed from Michigan to Texas and reportedly was sold last week.

3- Tim Simpson is once again gathering coats for kids in need.

This year’s big drive day will be November 12.

That’s the day you can stop by 803 Channel 3 Drive, drop off some coats, and  meet Tim, Claudia and the whole News Channel 3 gang.

The first 200 people to bring two coats or more will get a coupon for a free carwash.

So be sure to stop by the WREG studios from 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. next Thursday.
