MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The local father arrested and charged with aggravated child abuse on Sunday, could be facing additional charges after his 2-month-old baby died from his injuries.

On November 3, police were called to the 4600 block of Deep Brook where they found the baby unresponsive on the bed.

The child was taken to a nearby hospital where it later died of its injuries.

Doctors at the hospital reportedly told police the baby had traumatic brain injuries and a skull fracture.

At two-months-old, they said a baby would not be able to roll over and cause those types of injuries by accident.

The father, James Robinson, was taken into custody on Sunday and given an $80,000 bond.

He was charged with three counts of aggravated child abuse.

He’s expected to be back in court on November 16.
