OCALA, Fl. — Most college sports fans downright love their team.
Some buy season tickets to every home game, others have rooms in their homes decked out in their team’s colors and memorabilia.
Others have even named their dog after the star quarterback from the championship game.
Now, one funeral home in Ocala, Florida is letting you take your gameday spirit to the grave.
The funeral home has teamed up with another company to create college-themed caskets, urns, registry books and thank you cards, reported KEYC News.
Senior Vice President Justin Baxley told the news station it was a way to show off the deceased’s love for their school and is just plan memorable.
“We know that people love college football. Particularly folks that are alumni. They’re very dedicated to their school. For me, to see a family that is able to really tell their loved ones life story in a way they didn’t even know they could, there’s nothing more gratifying than that.”
WOFL in Florida reported the funeral home already has more than 40 colleges and universities a person can choose from, but more should be added to the catalog soon.
Of course, these caskets don’t come cheap.
A customized casket will cost you about $4,000.
