MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The council unanimously approved the reappointment of Jack Sammons to the Airport Authority Tuesday night.
It’s just the latest jump for Sammons who back in April left the Airport Authority to become the new Chief Administrative Officer under the A C Wharton administration.
However, that role was short lived as mayor-elect Jim Strickland made some changes in City Hall.
Now, Sammons is returning to a position that he has proved to be instrumental in.
He aggressively pursued a deal with Southwest Airlines and has been described as the authority’s “go to” guy.
