NEW ORLEANS — Ole Miss fans have taken over New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl.

The Rebels are set to take on the Oklahoma State Cowboys Friday night so places like Bourbon Street have already been seeing an increase with fans hoping for a victory.

So far, fans we spoke to said they are all enjoying the city.

“We walked down to Cafe du Mode. Been walking the streets, window shopping and having a great time,” said Ron Rychlak.

His family came all the way from the Oxford area to see their favorite team play.

Ole Miss senior Derrick Martin has been designated as the official tour guide for all of his friends, having grown up in the city.

He said just being here seeing his Rebels play is the best present he could get his final year in college.

“It’s just great to see the Rebels make it to the Sugar Bowl. First time since 1970’s so I’m really excited about this.”
