CASPER, Wyo. — A woman in Wyoming is behind bars after she shot her husband as he was insulting her.

Dustin Baer was rushed to the hospital Sunday night with a gunshot wound, reported KOTA-TV.

Doctors were forced to put him in a medically induced coma.

After investigating, police determined the 26-year-old was shot by his wife, who remains unidentified this evening.

She said the two were drinking at their apartment when they got into an argument and Baer began calling her names.

She retrieved the gun from their room and pointed it at him, telling him to stop.

When he didn’t, she pulled the trigger.

The woman appeared before a judge on Monday where she was formally charged with assault and possession of a deadly weapon with unlawful intent.
