MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Some Germantown High School students came together for a great cause that started with their teacher.

The G.H.S. Chapter of Science National donated nearly $2,500 to the Infant and Toddler Unit at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital.

The group told WREG the money will go towards buying new rocking chairs for patients’ rooms.

It all started because their sponsor’s son got sick.

Having spent days by her son’s side, she said it began getting uncomfortable.

There wasn’t a good place to sit, hold him or rock him.

That baby is said to be okay.

Now other families will be comfortable thanks to the club’s generosity.
