MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Customers now have even more options when flying with Allegiant.
On Tuesday, the airline company released a press release announcing its most recent expansion which includes a new route from Memphis to Jacksonville International Airport (JAX).
The nonstop service will begin on April 15.
Fares will reportedly start at just $39 one way, and go on sale Tuesday.
According to the Memphis- Shelby County Airport Authority, this is the second service announcement for Memphis since the beginning of the year, and the seventh destination Memphians can use for their traveling needs.
Allegiant currently has flights to Austin, Orlando/ Sanford, Las Vegas, Phoenix/Mesa, St. Pete-Clearwater and Fort Lauderdale.
“We are thrilled that Allegiant continues to add to its number of destinations served out of Memphis International,” said Scott Brockman with the Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority president and CEO. ” In the short eight months since Allegiant starting serving Memphis, they have increased to seven destinations, which offers our passengers an ever-increasing list of new low-cost options.”
In addition to the new Memphis route, Allegiant is also adding 18 others with stops in three cities previously not serviced by the airline including Washington D.C./ Baltimore; Destin, Florida; and El Paso, Texas.
