JACKSON, Tenn. — Noah Chamberlin died of hypothermia, according to the results of a preliminary autopsy released by District Attorney General Jerry Woodall of the 26th judicial district of Tennessee.

The preliminary autopsy showed no signs of foul play.

Full autopsy results will take eight to 16 weeks, according to the medical examiner’s office.

Woodall also addressed comments on social media about the case. He said there were claims on social media that said Chester County Sheriff Blair Weaver was close friends with the Chamberlin family, but this is not true.

In addition, a petition called for the disappearance and death to be investigated by “someone other than the Chester County Sheriff’s Department.”

Woodall said the TBI, FBI and Madison County Sheriff’s Department, in addition to Chester County officials, had been involved in the investigation since the beginning. Edwin Grant, a consultant with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, was also on the scene and said it was one of the best and most organized ground searches he had been involved in.

Noah’s funeral will be held Wednesday.
