NASHVILLE, Tenn. –One of the attorneys involved in the high-profile Holly Bobo case has been suspended.

John Herbison was suspended for two years, with sixty of those days to be served as an active suspension.

When he does return, he will have to have a practice monitor, and repay the court costs and expenses.

According to the Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility, Herbison accepted a non-refundable fee of$7,500, but didn’t provide the agreed upon service for his former client.

He told that person he was actively preparing an application for clemency, but failed to do so.

When the client found out, they requested a refund, which was also never produced.

Herbison admitted his actions violated the Rule of Professional Conduct.

Herbison was representing Jason Autry, one of the three men accused of murdering Bobo back in 2011, reported WTVF.
