SEATTLE — A 17-year-old from Washington faces criminal reckless driving charges after getting into a car crash when she said she was using her phone.
KIRO reported the girl admitted to texting and using FaceTime and Snapchat while driving.
The driver of the car in front of her saw her coming at a high rate of speed and tried to get out the way, according to the Washington State Patrol.
But the 17-year-old’s car still clipped the rear of that car, sending it into a ditch, according to the police report. The girl’s car spun and rolled over before it came to a stop.
She went to the hospital with minor injuries. Thankfully, the other driver was not hurt.
