Conspiracy to commit armed robbery will be added to Johnny Robinson Jr., who already is charged with two counts of armed robbery and attempted murder.

Surveillance video showed two men walk into the Corner Grocery store in Clarksdale on Saturday night.

The men robbed the store and then took off across the parking lot and down an alley.

That’s when Cpl. Derrick Couch spotted the larger suspect and tried to stop him behind a nearby church.

Robinson reportedly shot Couch through the eye socket, lodging the bullet in his head.
