MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Police have found the driver who struck and killed a woman Saturday night then left the scene.

Walter Williams, 49, was charged with vehicular homicide, leaving the scene of an accident involving death, DUI, reckless driving, public intoxication, no driver’s license and no insurance.

Police identified the victim as Clarissa Rhodes, 24.

She was a pedestrian crossing Hickory Hill Road at Meyers Road when a car hit her, sending her flying into another car, police said. The car that hit her drove away.

She died on the scene, police said.
