MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Memphis gem has been named to Fortune magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For.”
This is the sixth year St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital has been named to the list.
The non-profit was listed at number 35.
To determine the rankings, researchers conducted surveys at each company, and asked them how they felt about working there.
At St. Jude an astonishing 98% of people said they were proud to tell others they worked at the hospital, while 97% said they felt it was a safe place to work.
In addition, up to 97% said they feel good about how they contribute to the Memphis community.
Approximately 1,222 employees took part in the survey.
Google, ACUITY Insurance, The Boston Consulting Group, Wegmans Food Markets and Quicken Loans rounded out the top five on the list.
