MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Police are investigating an incident at the Foote Homes apartments in which a man said he was shot.
A friend of the victim went to the fire station on 148 South Parkway to report the shooting at about 7:30 p.m., police said.
The friend told police the victim was in a car on Goodloe Avenue.
Police located the car, which had a shattered window and bullet hole in it. The victim was not in the vehicle, and neighbors told police they didn’t hear any gunshots.
The victim appeared while police were still on the scene and told police he was shot while driving through the Foote Homes apartments.
However, police said he was not shot.
Police are investigating.
