MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Rhodes College is looking for a man accused of sexually assaulting two students a fraternity party.

The attacks apparently happened within one hour of each other.

“I was with some friends who were concerned about coming to campus and spending the night,” said Rhodes senior Haley Menz.

Campus Safety said it notified MPD when it saw the reports filed anonymously online.

Unlike many colleges, Rhodes allows students to report sexual misconduct through this website. The victim doesn’t have to give a name. The school has even started encouraging students to report anything they see.

“If you see any violence or assault taking place, you should take responsibility and report for that victim,” said Menz.

WREG discovered there were three other sexual assaults reported so far this year.

The details aren’t online. Just that each case is now closed.

A spokesperson with Rhodes said keep in mind, 75 percent of its students live on campus, and they’ve also been spending time teaching them how important it is to report sexual misconduct.

“We will continue do everything within our power to ensure that all of our students have a safe and secure place to live and learn,” he said

Some students said what happened Saturday morning is a serious threat and shouldn’t be taken lightly especially because there were several other on-campus parties that same night.

“This is an ongoing trend that’s been happening, but haven’t heard it on the news,” said student Zane Hassan.

There’s a vague description of Saturday’s suspect.
