MEMPHIS, Tenn. — People on one Orange Mound street say they are scared of their own neighborhood after 3 people were shot.

Police said all of the victims are expected to recover, but whoever shot them in the 1300 block of Bruce is still on the loose.

Glass still littered the driveway of the abandoned house where police say the shooting happened.

One man WREG talked to said he was just half a block down when those gunshots rang out.

Scared for his life, Hurricane Young told WREG he hid to avoid being shot.

“I was ducking. I was like over there behind that car when they started shooting.”

Police said three people were shot Thursday night.

Two people were in a car in a driveway and the third victim was standing in the street when someone came up behind the car and started shooting.

Elonda Reed just moved to this neighborhood, but said after this she will be moving again.

“I’m looking for somewhere else to go.”

With many kids out of school for spring break, neighbors said anyone could have been hit, and they have had enough.

“The police can only do so much. It has to be the community,” Reed said.

“White, Black, blue, green, Chinese, Asian…we just need to stop the killing and come together as one,” Young added.

So far, no arrests have been made in this case.
