NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The TSA is launching an inquiry after a woman in Nashville was able to get on a plane without identification, a ticket or passing through security.
Naja Haynes reportedly parked her car in the airport parking lot, walked past TSA checkpoints and then pushed her way past Delta employees to get on board.
She then took a seat at the back of the plane.
According to WTVF, a gate agent finally asked to see her ticket, but she refused.
Officers were called to the scene and once again asked to see identification, at which time she replied, “my name and faith is my ID.”
Authorities had to forcibly remove her from the plane, reported The Tennessean.
Authorities said Haynes didn’t have any weapons on her at the time, but is still facing two misdemeanor charges.
A TSA spokesperson released the following statement on the incident to WTVF:
“TSA officials at Nashville International Airport immediately initiated an inquiry into the incident. An employee was placed on non-screening duty pending final determination of the inquiry, but has since resigned. TSA is taking this incident seriously and will retrain employees as necessary to ensure compliance with standard operating procedure.”
