MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A celebratory luncheon was held on Tuesday to recognize those students who participated in this year’s Knowledge Bowl.

The luncheon was held at the Holiday Inn on the University of Memphis campus, and was emceed by WREG’s Jim Jaggers.

In all, more than $90,000 was given away to students from 32 local schools with the winning team walking away with $7,500 each.

Since its inception in 1987, News Channel 3’s Knowledge Bowl has distributed nearly $4 million to high school students wishing to further their education.
