A Mississippi woman made national headlines as she fought to keep what is hers.

Jordan Theiering will become the first mom in Mississippi to legally take home her own placenta.

But she had to get a court order to do it.

She plans to encapsulate the placenta so she can ingest it.

It’s a growing trend and many women believe it has benefits for mom and baby.
