MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man was fatally shot Wednesday at the Peppertree Apartments on Eastwind Drive.
Family of the victim identified him as 45-year-old Eric Doggett.
Police found the victim unresponsive on the living room floor.
He was pronounced dead on the scene.
The shooter is at large, and police are investigating.
This is the 98th homicide so far this year in Memphis, compared to 59 homicides at this time last year.
The complex where this latest shooting happened has been plagued by crime in the recent past.
