MEMPHIS, Tenn. — They’re one of the first things visitors notice, Memphis’ world famous bridges over the mighty Mississippi River.

And now, they’re about to get even more impressive!

The city confirmed a new lighting project for both the Harahan Bridge and the Hernando DeSoto Bridge.

Robert Knecht, Director of Memphis’ Public Works Department, said the $12 million cost will be covered by private donations.
