MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis activists kicked off their campaigns to help improve local commutes.

Trick Out My Trip is a campaign spearheaded by IOBY, or In Our Backyards, a nonprofit civic crowd-resourcing platform.

Beginning today, IOBY is partnering with Mid-South organizations and MATA to raise money and help make improvements across Memphis.

Ride Rally Ride plans to install bike-repair stations as well as bike racks that will be connected to MATA stops. It also wants to make improvements to bus stops and install schedules all

over town.

The Overton Park Conservancy wants to put the spotlight on one of the busiest intersections in the city.

The group said the entrance to Overton Park at Poplar and Tucker needs crosswalks with better visibility, among other things.
