David Porter was part of one of the greatest songwriting duos of all time.
Along with Isaac Hayes, David wrote classic hits like “Soul Man” and “Hold on I’m Coming.”
He’s even in the National Songwriters Hall of Fame!
These days, the native Memphian is busy training the next generation of musical talent in the Bluff City as founder and president of the Consortium MMT.
He has a lot of star power behind him, recruiting celebrities like Maurice White, Jimmy Jam and Stevie Wonder to mentor budding Mid-South musicians, producers and songwriters.
