MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Funeral arrangements have been released for the victims of a deadly fire on Severson Avenue.
According to the funeral home, Eloise Futrell, Angel Mitchell, Ernest Jett, Cameron Jett, Diamond Jett, Kiera Jett and Precious Jett will be buried on September 23.
The visitation will started at 9 a.m. with the funeral starting at 10 a.m. at Metropolitan Baptist Church.
Lakesha Ward and Alonzo Ward will be buried the following day.
The funeral will be held at the New Salem Baptist Church at 1 p.m., with the visitation taking place at noon.
The funeral for Carol Collier will take place Sept. 24 at 11 a.m. at Greater Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church on 3090 North Trezevant St. The visitation is at 10 a.m.
R.L. Lewis and Sons Funeral Home is handling the victims’ burials.
Those wishing to help the family can donate money at First Tennessee Bank.
On Monday, Lakesha Ward, Precious Rose, 3; Kierra Jett, 5; Angel Mitchell, 16; Alonzo Ward, 6; Diamond Jett, 7; Earnest Jett V, 9; Cameron Jett,8; Carol Collier, and Eloise Futrell were all killed when they became trapped inside their home.
Investigators determined an electrical cord malfunctioned and caught on fire.
