(Philadelphia, PA) A Philadelphia area student and her supporters want an apology and more after the girl says she was humiliated by her teacher for wearing a pro-Mitt Romney t-shirt to school.
Charles Carroll High School student Samantha Pawlucy has called for geometry teacher Lynette Gaymon to be fired for telling her the Mitt Romney shirt was akin to wearing a KKK shirt to school. The teacher also reportedly told Pawlucy the school was “Democratic.”
“The teacher told me to get out of the classroom, I said ‘no,'” Pawlucy told NBC Philadelphia. “She told me to take off my shirt and said that she has another one if I need one. And then the teacher asked me … ‘are your parents Republican?’ I said, ‘I don’t know.’”
