MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Students and staff at, so far, three school districts will have an extra-long Labor Day weekend.
Fayette County Public Schools announced schools will be closed Friday due to inclement weather.
Hardeman County Schools followed suit, closing due to flooded roads.
Haywood County Schools also made the decision to close, citing “declining weather conditions, localized flooding & wind.”
It rained heavily all day Thursday, and there was flooding in places throughout the Mid-South.
