MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Memphis Police Department confirmed a pedestrian was hit by a car on Union Avenue near Avalon in Midtown Wednesday evening.
Officers responded to the scene around 6:30 p.m where a woman was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene.
She was transported to Regional One Hospital in critical condition.
This is an ongoing investigation.

At MPD 6:23 p.m. responded to a crash call at Union and Avalon. A female pedestrian was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene. The victim was transported to ROH in critical condition.
