MEMPHIS, Tenn. –  Police have two men in a custody accused in a string of robberies in Whitehaven.

Antonio King, 18, and Derrick Johnson, 19, are both charged with aggravated kidnapping and aggravated robbery.

The first robbery happened on March 28 outside Planet Fitness on Elvis Presley Boulevard,

They let the woman go, but she was so upset she ended up crashing her vehicle.

A day later a man was held up at gunpoint at the Bank of America also on Elvis Presley Boulevard.

The victim told police he got a good look at the suspects before they put on masks and dragged him behind the bank.

The didn’t get away with any money, but did take the man’s ATM card, wallet, cell phone and a gun out of his car.

“I asked are you trying to shoot me?  If you are going to shoot me shoot me right here.  He said, no, I’m not going to shoot you , but if you run I’m going to shoot you,” said McGael Gilbert.

Gilbert said the men punched him twice in the face before taking off on foot.

Police said they were able to identify King and Johnson as suspects in those robberies following an attempted robbery  the next day at the IHOP on East Shelby Drive.

They said at least one of the victims in the earlier robberies was able to identify both men in a photo lineup.
